Transfering UV maps on rigs
When you want to have new UVs but the geo has already been skinned, this is how you can swap out the new UV cords without messing up the rig history stack.
  1. Hypergraph: options > display shapes and hidden nodes
  2. select mesh "original"
  3. Attribute Editor: object display > intermediate off
  4. Transfer attributes to mesh "original" and delete history on it (topology and local modes work well for the transfer, UV ironically does not)
  5. turn intermediate back on
