Submitting Turnables and Shots to Shotgun
Initial setup

    Updating packages

You may need to update the Screening Room package on RV if it is out of date. Here are the steps:

    1. Download the new Screening Room package from the Shotgun Website
    2. open the RV preference menu, and click the "package" tab. Find the "Screening Room" package and un-check it (both boxes)
    3. Click "add package" button and load the new package you downloaded (example screening_room-1.61.rvpkg)
    4. In the new window, select the second file ("C:/Program Files/Tweak?RV-4.2.3-64/plugins/Packages") and hit OK
    5. Check both boxes for the Screening Room version you just loaded in.
    6. Close and re-open RV
    Loading packages

The first time you open RV you will likely need to load the Shotgun plugin for the submit tool. Open the preferences window (RV > preferences) and in the "packages" tab check "load" for both the shotgun integration and screening room plugins (The "installed" check-boxes for both of these should already be checked).

After doing this you should see a new menu in RV called "screening room." This will now be set to go in RV from now on.

Submitting Shots

  1. Launch RV and open your rendered sequence (file > open). Make sure your renders are named properly following the show naming convention.
  2. Launch the submission tool (Screening Room > Launch Submit Tool)
  3. Log in to SG if needed, this will open the following submit form:

The submit form is made up of the following fields:

Project: Begin typing to auto-complete to the project name on SG.

Link: Begin typing to auto-complete to the name of the Asset or Shot on SG.

Task: Begin typing to auto-complete to the name of the pipeline task on SG (concept art, modeling, texturing, lighting, etc.) .

Comment: This is where you list the Trello artist tasks that have been addressed in this version. As shown above write "Completed:" on the first line, followed by a bulleted list of your task descriptions from Trello using asterisks (*) for the bullets (see example above). Note that
1.You should copy-paste the task exactly as it appears in Trello. Don't summarize or re-word.
      2. As the title implies, you should only list the tasks that you have completed, not all open tasks

Optional: If there are problems you are encountering that you need to report you can add a second section titled "Problems" followed by a bulleted list of these.
        Completed:
        * This is where your first Trello task goes
        * Then you put the second task here
        * Make sure you copy/paste them exactly from Trello
        * Each task is listed bullet point style with an asterisk before it

        Problems:
This is an optional section. If you have additional things we need to know about,
you can put them here. If you have several use a bullet list as above.
